You are drinking "Recycled Drugs"! How devastating is that sound?

An expert on antibiotic resistance at the University of Illinois, Christian Daughton, Chief of Environmental Chemistry for the EPA warns, “Water pollution by drugs is a newly emerging issue.”

A vast array of pharmaceuticals — including antibiotics, anti-convulsants, mood stabilizers and sex hormones — have been found in the drinking water supplies of at least 41 million Americans, an Associated Press investigation shows.

So how are all these drugs getting in the water in the first place?

People take pills. Their bodies absorb some of the medication, but the rest of it passes through and is flushed down the toilet. Patients have also been advised for decades to dispose of unused drugs by flushing them down the toilet. The wastewater is treated before it is discharged into reservoirs, rivers or lakes. Some fraction of every dose a person takes passes through unmetabolized and is evacuated by the body and, along with unused drugs, are flushed into the sewage systems. Sewage treatment plants are meant to remove the more familiar kinds of pollutants, and typically do not remove pharmaceuticals from waste water as it is cleaned up and released back into the environment, eventually to find their way into our water supply systems.

In the course of a five-month inquiry, the Associated Press discovered that drugs are found in the drinking water supplies of 24 major metropolitan areas — from Southern California to Northern New Jersey, from Detroit to Louisville, Ky.

Although levels are low (reportedly measured in parts per billion or trillion) and water utility companies contend that the water is safe, experts from both private organizations and the government say they can't say for sure whether the levels of drugs in drinking water are low enough to discount any harmful health effects. These chemicals do not go away or just evaporate into thin air. Instead, they continue to accumulate and remain in the water. Worst of all, most water filters do not remove these drugs or chemicals. The level of drugs in our drinking water consumed by our children and grand children will be much higher than what we are no consuming.

Alarmingly, there is no national strategy to deal with this problem — no effective mandates to test, treat, limit or even advise the public. Some researchers, environmentalists, health professionals, water managers and bureaucrats like the Associated Press, FDA, Environmental Protection Agency, Natural Resources Defense Council, International Bottled Water Association, National Geological Survey, Water Works Association and many more have little say over controlling what determines a safe level of Pharmaceutical Drugs content in water should be. Most do not have any regulatory firepower to enforcing proper measures, leaving the last defence to us and our home water purifiers. Though pharmaceutical sales are rising, plants that cleanse sewage or drinking water are not required to remove drugs. They aren’t even required to monitor for them.

So, does that mean we have to drink whatever water is being supplied to us in our drinking water? The answer is "if the government can't or won't protect us the we will have to gear up and protect ourselves by installing home water filtration system to effectively remove not only the contaminants and toxins, but the drugs found in our drinking water as well."

There are varieties of home water purifiers available on the market, but as I said, not all will effectively block every pollutant and drug where the molecules are smaller than those of water. Below are a few tips to consider when choosing a home water purification system.

Distillation

This remove basically everything from the drinking water. The contaminants and toxins, as well as the important traces of minerals which are vital to our systems. The resulting product is unhealthy water which does not benefit us.

Reverse Osmosis

The process remove almost all the trace of minerals but leaving some chemicals, especially the molecules which are smaller than water.

Activated Carbon Water Filters

Most often found in the jug type portable filters that are widely available at kitchenware stores. This is the most basic form of filtration and will remove chlorine, some chemicals, mercury, large parasites and particulates. Unfortunately, it won't remove bacteria, asbestos, most radioactive compounds, some heavy metals and fluoride.

Ceramic Carbon Water Filters

These filters usually come as a cartridge that sits under the sink in the kitchen and is plumbed into the water supply and the filtered water is then sent to a counter top tap. A ceramic carbon filter will remove a large amount of contaminants including most bacteria and parasites, cysts, chlorine, some radioactive contaminants, most solvents, pesticides and chemicals as well as some heavy metals.

Ceramic Carbon water filters still don't remove fluoride, some heavy metals, viruses or very small microbes.

Multi-Stage Water Filtration System

Dearest Trisha,

I have taken the ANU water now for 5 weeks. As you know, I had some difficulty telling if it was working because I stayed on the iodine and kept severely detoxing which caused severe lesions on my face. I stopped the iodine a week and a half ago I am now a different person. The lesions have healed and the fibers and black specks continue to "fly" out of me. This is amazing stuff!

Thanks to your skin care products when I shower in the morning and gently rub my face multiple fibers come out! Fibers also come out all over my body. The ANU water and your products working together are KEY. When I soak in the tub using your ESP Organic Salt and Herb Soak I find a fine layer of "soot" at the bottom of the tub. It appears to be the black flecks coming out of my skin in huge numbers. I do not recall this occurring the baths before using the ANU water.

Many of my other symptoms have subsided namely the pigment has returned on my upper chest, joint pain is much reduced, no more pain at the lesions I currently have (which are very few), no more parasites in my eyes, less fatigue and no brain fog! I look forward to continuously improving.

I'm not sure what your ailment is, but I can assure you that as Morgellons sufferer for the last 4 years, that this product is by far, hands down, without the shadow of a doubt... the bomb.

There is a nation-wide shortage of salt (the Brits have dumped all of it on the roads, sidewalks and door steps in lieu of buying sensible winter shoes and preparing the roads and walkways for winter), so I have been coping without for some days (yikes).

I am amazed at your products and how well they work; my skin has been terribly damaged from all of this since autumn but with one application of the Balm it is healing already. I don't blog, I don't surf the net, I don't twitter.... But there are a few things worth spending the time to spread the word!

I don't know how those of you reading this, found Anu and I don't know your reason for using this product. Or, if you've found this and are thinking of using....I can tell you, following, how I found this and why I am using and will continue its' use. What ever the reason, for your looking into the purchase for use, or for what ever the reason for use; Be it, M.S., Fibromyalgia, Auto Immune disease (?), Chrone's disease, Lyme's disease, or perhaps even Aids or Cancer (provided you've not started chemo).... or any of these increasingly reported medical anomalies:

I so believe that there is a connection among all of these fore mentioned. Don't think, order! And if you're just health conscience and or feel the need to cleanse the body of the stuff that we intake daily from our environment, from heavy metals, pollutants, man made toxins, etc... The same advise, don't think, just order. Whether you're healthy or ill and you order, I recommend a combination of "L - Arginine and L - Ornithine"

:Even if healthy or perhaps traveled out of the country, trust me you probably have some toxins built up in your body and may experience "herxing", this might feel like flu symptom in the muscles, for 2-3 hours; This, the fore mentioned supplement, will alleviate the symptoms of such. I have spoken with someone that said it tastes like bleach, IT DOES NOT TASTE LIKE THIS TO ME, IT TASTES LIKE "HEALTHY" WELL WATER. I am certain that the F.D.A. or C.D.C. (one of these) knows the properties of ,,. If you were to research HCLo. you would find the bacteria that is killed by this product

I am certain that these same bacteria are killed by ANU.... BUT, ANU IS WITH OUT THE POISON! This is essentially, to me a healthy anti-bot, anti-microbial, anti-fungal; Hence the need for just a simple acidophylus, extra strength with pro-bots, to take with this amazing water. I, we, my family knew the first day of taking, that this is the road to our recovery.

We use it not just orally, but use it as eye drops, in the ears and in the nostrils; I would put money on the fact that our using in the nasal passages has kept my family from colds and the flu, this winter/flu season.

My God, how can these doctors look at these people suffering and not know, just from a visual exam, SOMETHING IS WRONG? With an equally ugly name, that should be changed from "Morgellon's" to "G.I.P." (global infestation of parasites Trish S. R.N.'S name, for this) and more fitting, in my opinion, "Pandora's Chameleon" (my vote for a name)......

My family has suffered for coming up on the fifth year, now.This product, since taking for the past 7-8 months, has had us at an 80% better; And this, right now, is as good as being well, considering what we've felt and been, i.e., cognitive, sight, hearing, olfactory, taste, bone and joint, muscle were all in decline. Word retrieval, inability to focus -A.D.D.-, organizational skills, NIL. There back! And no doubt that we will recover! We'll just need the psyche repaired; One can only go so long with having you and especially your child forsaken by Dr.s and going un-diagnosed or worse, labeled delusional. Unfortunately for us, one can only take on so much... Not just the absorption of all of the scared, hopeless, misery, financial loss, divorce, loss of custody of children and suicides, but to have been attacked by the very people that she has tried to help and the people that say that they are "researching this":
