Corporate Government
Wherever Corporations and Government Seem Too Cozy For Comfort…
And where what we see and what we’re told don’t agree – that’s where this section will be.
This section and sub sections is reserved for those pages that are outside of the GMOs and pesticides but are equally and in some cases even more immediately important to those living in areas under toxic attack by corporations where local, regional, state and or federal authorities aren’t acting, aren’t acting fast enough, are looking the other way, or are just plain strongly suspected of being in collusion with the corporations, political action committees (PACs) etc. But it’s not just endlessly reporting on it, it’s also how can we stop it? What can WE do to take the power back so we don’t have to constantly chase after those starting the fires over and over and over trying to make things better without ever addressing the cause. Citizen Outrage needs to fuel Citizen Reform.
We can start here:
The Campaign to Legalize Democracy
Join the Movement to Abolish Corporate Personhood
We are calling to amend the U.S. Constitution to abolish the legal doctrine of “Corporate Personhood,” which we define simply as the illegitimate notion that a corporation can claim political and civil rights to overturn democratically enacted laws. We are building a broad-based, multi-partisan democracy movement in the United States to address the reality that the federal courts have made democracy impossible. It’s time to change the rules!
