I am a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida, I also hold a license in Psychiatric Technology from the State of California, Inactive. I carry with me 30 years of taking care of others. My husband is a Practicing Orthopedic Surgeon, we try to Practice Medicine, morally, by the code of Medicine “FIRST, DO NO HARM.” I have worked in many areas as a R.N., such as Oncology, Wound Care, Surgical Pre/Post Op, ER, and ICU and Management. I have with an impeccable work record. I also was the Clinical Educator for HMA Hospital Corp., the Director/Manager of a 44-bed Telemetry/ICU Overflow Unit and received accolades such as Nurse of the Year in 1998 and Nurse Manager of the Quarter 2000.
I began researching aspects of the chemicals that we are administering for treatments of children and adult skin problems like psoriasis, eczema, acne, Rosacea etc. I sought solutions for everyday sensible skin care as well as solutions to the specific problems I just listed. I started making handmade soap, Shea butter other butters with completely organic oils that provide nourishment and penetration through the skin. I researched what was traditionally used in ancient medicine all over the world (known as alternative medicine) which had been used for centuries by indigenous tribes and cultures. I began to question the use of what we were applying to wounds, our hands, and skin for sterilization in the form of chemicals that stripped the needed properties from our precious first line of defense, the skin. We, as a society, have been influenced to apply protein-strippers in the form of propyls, hexanes, benzenes and ureas (which is formaldehyde at 10 degrees) thinking this was a wise way to combat disease and by doing so have only exacerbated the problem. I began looking at the International Nomenclature for Cosmetic Industries (INCI) and found that certain practices lack any common sense (i.e., the use of Latin verbiage to hide the true names of the garbage used in foods and other products, calling a substance without any minerals with refined petrol-chemicals MINERAL OIL then saying its good to use on babies). The bases and topicals present in the form of caustic alkaline and acids, along with chemotherapy for skin diseases, seem to be given with little regard to their side effects on human beings. I continue to learn about the poisons/chemicals contained in fragrance oils. I continue with my corporation to look carefully at the contents of an 80 billion dollar industry and am sickened by their practices and what the Food and Drug Administration allows this industry to do.
In 2006 the State of California passed Senate Bill 484 which states that fragrance oils containing Phthalates (plastic softeners) and up to 4,000 chemicals to create scents are producing an estrogen mimicker seven times more powerful than that of true estrogen that our hormonal system secretes. People are brainwashed from a very early age that they need to smell and look perfect in order to be accepted. The cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries have taken gross advantage of this mentality by producing cheap products at expensive prices at the direct risk of the health and safety the nation it claims to want to help. I began formulation, studied and worked in my home and learned what was allowed in Natural, Botanical and Organic claims. I couldn't believe it. Botanical and "all natural" are not necessarily what the names may suggest.
The story is long but the long and the short of it is that through many trials, and I believe Divine Providence, I formulated the correct essential mixture of pure plant derived essential oils from many countries of origin with botanical bases into a patented formula (US#7060306). These products are preserving themselves botanically. I have seen the ravages of psoriasis and began giving the now patented formulation based products to people I worked with. I saw that with hydration, whole foods and herbals (and much help from others) that the worst damaged skin was getting better. My husband also saw the people I was working quietly with. Together we have watched them get better. I filed for patent status and was awarded a patent for "Skin Formulation" in 2007. We believe that this is the best available treatment for Psoriasis, Eczema, Acne and Many other skin Diseases. It is not a Magic Bullet, it takes continued use, along with a pH Diet to correct Dermatological Anomalies.
Several years ago a man came in to my shop with complaints of crawling and biting sensations under his skin. Doctors diagnosed him with Delusional Parasitosis, possible scabies and staph infections with no cultures or response to topical pyrithines. I didn't think anything about it at the time, but urged him to try my skin formulation for relief from his discomfort. He carefully adhered to the New Hope Skin Formulation procedures. Some time later he went off the now Patented Formula and returned to General Medicine. Unfortunately for him, he died of Pancreatic Cancer in April of 2006.
